Spring Foraging 101: Safe, Sustainable & Seasonal Finds
Spring is here, and so is the perfect time to reconnect with nature through foraging! Whether you’re gathering wild greens or mushrooms, here’s how to do it responsibly:
How to Forage Safely & Sustainably:
• Know before you go: Learn to ID plants accurately—mistakes can be dangerous. Use a guidebook or app, or better yet, go with an expert.
• Harvest ethically: Only take what you need. Leave plenty behind for wildlife and to allow regrowth.
• Respect the land: Stay on trails when possible, don’t disturb habitats, and always ask permission on private land.
• Leave no trace: Pack out what you pack in, and don’t uproot plants unnecessarily.
What to Forage in Spring:
• Morel mushrooms (be 100% sure!)
• Wild ramps (harvest leaves, not the bulbs to help them thrive)
• Fiddlehead ferns
• •. ground elder, goutweed, bishop`s
• Stinging nettles (gloves recommended!)
• Chickweed and cleavers
• Dandelion greens & flowers
• Violets (beautiful and edible)
Take only memories (and maybe a small basket of greens), and leave the forest just as wild as you found it.
Tag a friend you’d bring on a foraging walk!

When RFK Jr. says autism “destroys families,” he’s not speaking for mine.
I’m the proud mom of an autistic child—and let me tell you, autism doesn’t destroy families. It transforms them. It teaches us patience, compassion, resilience, and love on a level most people never experience.
My child is not broken. He doesn’t need fixing. His autism is part of who he is—it’s not something to be feared or pitied. It’s a gift.
Yes, more research into autism is important. But that research should be led by professionals with actual medical and neurological expertise—not politicians pushing fear-based narratives.
Autistic voices—and the voices of those who love them—deserve to be heard and respected.
We don’t need saving. We need understanding and support.

Ditch the toxins, not the freshness.
Store-bought dry shampoos might be convenient, but they’re often loaded with harsh chemicals and a hefty price tag. In fact, an independent lab found benzene—a known carcinogen—in 70% of dry shampoos tested. Yikes.
But here’s the good news:
You can make your own dry shampoo that’s budget-friendly, non-toxic, and actually good for you (and the planet).
DIY Dry Shampoo Recipe
For blonde/light hair:
¼ cup arrowroot powder
2 drops orange essential oil
2 drops rosemary essential oil
For darker hair:
Add 1–2 tbsp cocoa powder
You’ll need:
A glass container with lid
A fluffy makeup brush
How to use:
Blend ingredients in a food processor, store in a sealed jar, and use your brush to apply to roots. Blend with fingers or a quick blast from your blow dryer. That’s it!
Clean, fresh hair—without the junk.
