🥡 Containers for leftovers (or unexpected takeout!)
🥤 Reusable straws + a small cleaning brush
🍴 Napkins + cutlery
🌱 A container for compost scraps

It was such a simple habit, but it made choosing the low-waste option the easy option—whether we were grocery shopping, grabbing snacks, or heading out on a day trip 💚

From a mom of three: reducing waste (especially plastic) at Easter is totally doable 🐣💛

Here are a few easy swaps off the top of my head:

🌿 Decorate with natural materials – think branches, dried flowers, moss, feathers
🥚 Dye eggs using homemade colors from things you probably already have (onion skins, turmeric, berries!)
🧺 Skip plastic baskets – find one secondhand or give the kids a cute reusable bag instead
🎨 Color eggs with @naturalearthpaints for a more eco-friendly option
🧵 Ditch plastic eggs – sew or buy reusable cloth eggs for the egg hunt
🍬 Fill them with plastic-free candy or small, thoughtful gifts

It doesn’t have to be perfect. Small changes add up, and your kids won’t remember the plastic—they’ll remember the magic ✨
