Plastic Free July may be coming to an end, but the small changes we make today can last all year long.

One of my favorite plastic-free swaps? Homemade popsicles.

Instead of buying individually wrapped ice pops filled with unnecessary packaging, we make our own using fresh fruit that’s in season. It’s healthier, saves money, reduces food waste, and keeps a surprising amount of plastic out of the bin over time.

My personal favorite molds are stainless steel. They last for years, don’t absorb odors or stains, and completely eliminate the need for plastic molds. It’s a simple swap that pays for itself while helping the planet.

Our family loves making mango and raspberry popsicles or refreshing watermelon pops on warm summer days. They’re incredibly easy to make, and the kids always have fun creating their own combinations.

Plastic Free July might be ending, but living with less plastic doesn’t have to. One small change at a time really does make a difference.

3️⃣ Swap plastic pots for terracotta or ceramic. They look way better, last longer, and let your plants’ roots breathe. 🪴

For years, I wore being busy like a badge of honor.

As a single mom raising three teenagers, running a business, creating content, writing, and trying to keep up with everyday life, stress has become something I’ve almost learned to live with. But I’m realizing that’s not how I want to live.

So this year, I’m making a promise to myself.

I’m choosing to slow down.

Not because I have less to do, but because I deserve to enjoy my life while I’m living it. I’m making room for quiet walks, time in my garden, a train ride with my laptop, a cup of tea without multitasking, and moments where I don’t have to be everything to everyone.

I’ve spent so many years making sure everyone else was okay. Now I’m learning that taking care of myself isn’t selfish, it’s necessary.

The truth is, slowing down doesn’t mean giving up on my dreams. It means creating a life where I have the energy, joy, and peace to keep pursuing them.

Here’s to making space for solitude, breathing a little deeper, and remembering that we don’t have to earn our rest.

Celebrate my birthday with me by sharing a few of my favorites. 💙

As I’ve gotten older, taking care of my skin has become a bigger priority. Two products I keep reaching for are the OSEA Atmosphere Protection® Cream and the OSEA Undaria Algae™ Body Oil.

🎉 Another trip around the sun. 🌞

This birthday feels different.

Looking back, the past year has been one of the most challenging years of my life.

But when I stop to really look back, I realize just how much I accomplished despite everything. Milestones were reached. Dreams kept moving forward. My family grew stronger. My work grew. I kept showing up, even on the hard days. I’m trying new things and ways.

Most importantly, I discovered a strength I didn’t know I had.

I’m learning to find my voice. I’m learning that it’s okay to take up space, to stand by my values, and to be proud of the woman I’ve become. That may be the greatest gift this past year has given me.

Today started in the sweetest way, with homemade French toast made by Liam, Bella insisting on cleaning up afterward, and now I’m heading out for a swim to enjoy this beautiful summer day. 💚

As I begin this next chapter, I’m setting one simple goal: to do one thing for me every single day. It doesn’t have to be big. A swim. A walk in the garden. A good book. A quiet cup of coffee. Just a daily reminder that taking care of myself isn’t selfish, it’s necessary.

Here’s to another year of growth, courage, joy, and becoming even more myself.
