Maybe one of your new years resolution is to start baking bread so here is an easy and healthy recipe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a recipe I came with during this week of our Frugal Food challenge when our family of five is eating healthy for a $100 a week. It was a huge hit with my children so I will make this more often. You can use any beans and I used white beans because it was what I had on hand. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/zerowastefamily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/dough-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-29794\" srcset=\"https:\/\/zerowastefamily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/dough-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/zerowastefamily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/dough-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/zerowastefamily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/dough-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/zerowastefamily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/dough-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/zerowastefamily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/dough-2048x1365.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/zerowastefamily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/dough-700x467.jpg 700w, https:\/\/zerowastefamily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/dough-160x107.jpg 160w, https:\/\/zerowastefamily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/dough-600x400.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>1 package active dry yeast<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>3 cups white spelt flour or all-pupose flour<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>1 tsp. salt<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>1 tbsp. brown sugar<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>1 1\/2  cups warm water<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>1\/2 cup cooked beans<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>1 tbsp. olive oil<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Sesame seeds for decoration<\/em> (optional)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Milk, enough to brush dough<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Combine yeast, salt, sugar and flour in a large bowl or&nbsp;KitchenAid.&nbsp;Mix water and beans until smooth and add oil, and add to flour mixture. Really work the dough well until it lets go of the bowl. Add more flour if dough still feels sticky. Sprinkle some flour on top and cover bowl with a towel. Shape dough into a loaf and place in a loaf pan lined with parchment paper. Cover with a towel and allow to rise for another 30 minutes. Preheat oven to F 450. Brush the loaf with milk and sprinkle sesame seeds over it. So it\u2019s mind boggling that almost all breads sold at grocery stores contain a number of additives \u2026 which are not all food, by the way. It\u2019s a sad fact that packaged bread is not as good as we might think and may contain scary additives, some that may indeed be harmful to human health. Let talk about chemicals lurking in bread.
