Today was the first time I really felt like a real fall day here in San Diego. Me and Noah took an early morning walk around our neighborhood. I almost felt like we were the only two people in whole San Diego. We sure enjoy our morning time together.
On a cold morning like this there is nothing more I love than to sip hot tea while Noah is napping and I’m working. Today I made it extra special and baked some cookies to eat with my tea. These cookies are wonderful with a hint of lemon and sesame seeds. I used unhulled seeds to reap the most benefits from these little seeds packed with a whole lot of nutrition. Unhulled sesame seeds are specially high in calcium, magnesium and iron.
Preheat oven to F400
Melt butter in a sauce pan and let it cool completely. stir in flour, sesame seeds, sugar, vanilla bean, lemon juice, grated lemon and baking powder. Blend well. Roll small ball of dough and place on cookie shed either in small baking cups or on parchment paper. Use back of a spoon to flatten them slightly. Bake 12-15 minutes, until slightly golden.
