For years, I wore being busy like a badge of honor.

As a single mom raising three teenagers, running a business, creating content, writing, and trying to keep up with everyday life, stress has become something I’ve almost learned to live with. But I’m realizing that’s not how I want to live.

So this year, I’m making a promise to myself.

I’m choosing to slow down.

Not because I have less to do, but because I deserve to enjoy my life while I’m living it. I’m making room for quiet walks, time in my garden, a train ride with my laptop, a cup of tea without multitasking, and moments where I don’t have to be everything to everyone.

I’ve spent so many years making sure everyone else was okay. Now I’m learning that taking care of myself isn’t selfish, it’s necessary.

The truth is, slowing down doesn’t mean giving up on my dreams. It means creating a life where I have the energy, joy, and peace to keep pursuing them.

Here’s to making space for solitude, breathing a little deeper, and remembering that we don’t have to earn our rest.

There’s something incredibly freeing about realizing your office doesn’t have to be four walls and a desk. 💚

Today, I packed my laptop, grabbed a coffee, and took my office on the move as I traveled north by train. Watching forests, lakes, and little villages roll by while getting work done reminded me why I love this lifestyle so much.

As someone who’s always trying to live a little more sustainably, choosing the train whenever I can just feels right. It’s slower, quieter, and gives me something we all seem to need more of these days—time to simply enjoy the journey.

For me, sustainable living isn’t about being perfect. It’s about making better choices whenever I can. Today, that choice looked like swapping the stress of travel for a beautiful train ride through Sweden. 🚆🌿

🥔 Myth Buster! You do NOT need a huge garden to grow potatoes.

One of the things I hear all the time is, “I wish I had enough space to grow my own food.” But here’s the truth—you don’t need a big backyard to grow potatoes.

We grow ours in a small raised bed outside our apartment, right in the middle of the city. You can also grow potatoes in sacks, grow bags, or large pots. They really don’t need much space to produce an amazing harvest.

As a single mom of three teenagers, I love finding simple ways to grow more of our own food. Every potato we harvest is one less thing I have to buy, and there’s something incredibly rewarding about serving my kids a meal that came from just a few square feet outside our front door.

I hope this inspires you to give it a try. Don’t wait until you have the “perfect” garden. Start with the space you have. You might be surprised by just how much food you can grow.
