When I lived in London, I used to buy all my herbs and beauty products at a small shop called Neal’s Yard Remedies. I was so happy to discover they now also sell online, so I can keep up with facial care from them. This business surely has grown since they opened their first store in 1981. They have 40 stores all over the UK, and now online stores in both the UK and the U.S.
Neal’s Yard Remedies sells a large range of natural and organic beauty products, from lotions and soaps to makeup. Finding good organic products from businesses that are also ethically minded is hard, but NYR is one that walks the talk. All of their products are formulated with care and do not include harsh, dangerous chemical ingredients found in most major brands. Organic and natural skin care just makes sense since our skin is our largest organ and the things we apply to it sink in and eventually enter our bloodstream.
One of my favorite products is the Beauty Sleep Concentrate. It contains no mineral oils or parbens. I’m extremely picky about what I put on my face because my skin is very sensitive and tends to get dry. I really don’t like creams that lie like film on my face or get sticky. This face cream is absorbed right away, and very little goes a long way, so one bottle lasts a while. My skin feels very soft (without any strong smell) after using it. I use it every night after cleansing my face, then pair it with the White Tea Tonic eye gel. My face still feels soft and hydrated after a long night’s sleep. I give these particular products 4 stars out of five — only because they are 80% organic and I just wish they were 100%.
