Plant-Based Food-Harissa Marinade

Date
May, 28, 2018

Happy Memorial Day!

This is a fast marinade made  for our Memorial Day BBQ. I’m marinating seitan slices and tofu steaks in it but I think vegetables or corn on the cob would be great too. Harissa paste is from North Africa and made with chiles blended into a paste with garlic, olive oil, and spices such as caraway and coriander. It’s an extremely versatile paste.

1/8 cup olive oil
1 tbsp. agave nectar
2 tsp Bragg’s liquid aminos
1 tbsp. Harissa paste
Mix everything together and marinate vegetables or protein for at least one hour. Turn in a couple of times so everything gets coated.
