Eco-Friendly Swimwear

Eco-Friendly Swimwear

Summer is here, and that means lots of days on the beach or at the pool for my family of five. Naturally, for some of us that means needing to invest in new swimwear and make sure it’s eco-friendly swimwear. Besides being cute, swimwear also should protect against harsh UV rays. Last but not least, it’s important that it doesn’t contain toxic chemicals. So Besides chemical free sunscreen, make sure your swimwear also is chemical-free.

Eco-Friendly Swimwear

Chemicals are added to the swimwear to make them UV resistant. In addition, dyes and fabrication of swimwear and rash guards may use toxic chemicals in the process of creating them. These chemicals not only will shed into water and sand, but also, when in contact with skin, be absorbed into the bloodstream.

When buying swimwear, make sure you look for Oeko-Tex certified to make sure it’s free from hundreds of toxic chemicals. There are several great sustainable, nontoxic rash guards and swimwear brands.

Here is my list for fun, sustainable and chemical-free swimwear.

Having read this I believed it was extremely informative. I appreciate you finding the time and effort to put this content together. I once again find myself spending a lot of time both reading and posting comments. But so what, it was still worthwhile!
